So while in the midst of craving my morning coffee fix, I couldn't get the creamer opened! What a catastrophe - yikes!
Calling my husband to the rescue, I asked him to use his manly strength to ply open the "should-be easy" screw on lid. He tried and tried....and actually heard a "pop" in his wrist. OUCH! Over a plastic screw top. I still don't know what was wrong with this lid, but we tried to open it with pliers and a monkey wrench with no luck, until finally I just cracked the lid so as to release the seal.
Anyway, two days went by with my husband complaining of wrist pain. I finally convinced him to apply DMSO to it. After all, athletes use it on injuries to enable them to get back into competitions faster. Now, when I say convinced, it was never that he didn't believe in the advantages of DMSO, it is just taking the time to apply it. Let's face it, it can leave a very unpleasant garlic-like taste in the mouth, the skin where it will be applied should absolutely be clean and it can leave a slightly oily residue. MMMM...come to think of it these side effects are actually quite minimal compared to some of those chemically laden prescription drugs.
Oh well, another topic entirely. Anyway, after about a week of applying the DMSO to his wrist, it is as good as new.
